Samsung UN60D6500 BEST PRICE

Samsung UN60D6500 BEST PRICE, VERY GOOD.
This TV looks very good when set up, either on the included stand or hanging on a wall, even when turned off. When you turn it on, there's a definite "WOW!" The picture quality is very good, and there are multiple picture modes available (Standard, Dynamic, Natural, Movie). I'll agree with the pros that for movies, the Movie setting looks best, but for most TV content, Standard looks better. Colors looks accurate to me, and also noticeable are the crispness (clarity) of the image, the deep black levels, detail even in darker areas, and no motion blur at all. I was concerned that the glossy coating would mean too many reflections as I do have a lot of windows in the room, but it's not really noticeable when the TV is on. If you're a videophile, there are plenty of settings to tweak the picture to your heart's content, even some built-in test patterns to help you do it.

Samsung UN60D6500 CYBER MONDAY

Samsung UN60D6500 CYBER MONDAY, Great TV.
I shopped around a long time for TVs before settling on this one. I have a room that's 21' x 21', so I wanted a big screen, at least 60". When the D7000 and D8000 came out, I was immediately drawn to the design, especially the very thin bezel, and many pro reviewers (like CNET) comment on just how good they look. This D6500--and the similar D6400--also have a pretty thin bezel, so I decided the extra features of the D7000 and above really weren't worth the extra $200-400 for me. My previous TV was a 42" Westinghouse, one of the first mainstream 1080P sets available. After my bad experience with that brand, I decided no more budget-brand TVs for me, I pretty much had my heart set on a Samsung after seeing them at friends' houses.
